Marmaris Beach, Beaches in Marmaris

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Marmaris BeachMarmaris and it’s enviroment are blessed with several good beaches, some developed, some still isolated. Içmeler, illustrated here, has some of the cleaner water and sand but is a little short of cheap accommodation. If you’re travelling independently then your best bet is probably to either take a day boat trip from Marmaris to “Cleopatra‘s Isle” or one of the other popular destinations.

Marmaris beach, home-away-from-home for big tattoo man, is a couple of miles long with a traffic free promenade stretching all way round the bay to the rather better Içmeler. Good for beer, chip butties and 24hr satellite soccer, it also has an award-winning PADI & BSAC dive centre. 2 hrs 15 mins from Dalaman Airport.
